Anna Kerevan grew up in Sidney and is the owner and operator of Teddys Boxing & Fitness. She has been in the boxing industry for 16 years as a fighter, coach, gym owner & promoter while living in Vancouver.
Her journey to boxing in 2008 as a way to relieve stress from work and she fell in love with the sport, which is one of the most challenging, and arguably therapeutic, workouts possible.
She has been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 10 years and in 2020 became certified in Mat Pilates. Anna loves to blend all these elements of coaching together for a class that is really well rounded.
As a leader in the boxing and fitness community, Anna prioritizes building inclusive spaces and fostering a strong sense of community by actively engaging in hosting events and creating partnerships with like minded businesses.
Her teaching style is relaxed yet precise, focusing heavily on proper form all the while making sure you have a great time and of course, enjoy the playlist!
Selma earned an honors degree in theoretical mathematics, where she developed a passion for boxing and fitness. She has trained at Studio 4, Island Boxing, and Victoria Martial Arts, and has been boxing for over three years.
Currently studying exercise physiology and having just applied to medical school, Selma has also participated in a fight camp at Victoria Martial Arts (VMA) for the Be First tournament, although her fight was canceled due to a lack of female competitors. During her time at VMA, she was the only woman in the advanced boxing class for an extended period.
In addition to boxing, Selma's strength in weightlifting saw her achieve a personal best of 350 lbs in the deadlift. Her goal in teaching boxing is to focus on the fundamentals and technical aspects of punching while delivering a great workout.
Jen Klein combines extensive experience with unwavering dedication in her role as a fitness and boxing coach in Victoria BC. Raised overseas, she developed her athletic abilities through competitive team sports in Dubai and later excelled in NCAA Division III collegiate soccer in the United States. Jen discovered her love of martial arts during law school and obtained her blackbelt in kickboxing. A mother of two, Jen’s exceptional work ethic and passion for fitness continue to set her apart.
Driven by a mission to help others strengthen their mind-body connection, Jen is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Her dedication extends to training aspiring first responders and current service members as occupational athletes.
Loren's journey in martial arts began at the age of 12, and for the past 18 years, he has dedicated himself to both training and coaching with remarkable success. His accolades include a WKA World title, a WKC World title, and five Canadian national championships, showcasing his exceptional skill and commitment to the sport.
Passionate about kickboxing, Loren believes in its transformative power, offering not just physical fitness but also confidence, structure, and mental well-being. He is a strong advocate for holistic health, partnering with wellness programs like Rock Steady, which uses boxing to support individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
Loren’s coaching style is equal parts discipline and fun, tailored to suit all levels of fitness and experience, from advanced fighters to beginners and seniors. He creates a safe environment where each individual can challenge themselves and grow, both in their skills and personal development.
